DHIREN SINGH

 

Mr. Dhirendra Singh is a Director at Gimbal Capital (Singapore) Pte Ltd and is based in Singapore. He is responsible for managing the investments and operations of the Gimbal Global Fund. Mr Singh has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Regional Engineering College - Bhopal (India) and an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management (Philippines). He also holds the CAIA charter, the designation for alternative investment professionals offered by the CAIA Association. He was previously with ICAP-Singapore from 1997 to 2007, where he was the Head of their Distressed and High Yield Asset Transaction Group. In this capacity, Mr Singh was responsible for looking after originating, negotiating and structuring transactions as part of the Fixed Income Section. During his tenure, he helped ICAP to start their Illiquid Loan Trading Desk and later embarked on fund raising for startups & ventures. From 1988 to 1993, Mr Singh was with BHEL (India), where he used to build and test diesel/electric locomotives. He also had a brief stint with Darashaw Securities (India) from 1995-1997, where he helped establish their Fixed Income operations.
